Proxim ORiNOCO 8470-WD (Gold)/8471-WD (Silver) 802.11b/g PC Card Driver 3.1.2.19 Windows 2000/XP.The Wireless Utility is only workable on Window 2000/XP. The driver is enhanced with SNA Hot Fix in it. The driver can support adapter with 0x31 as its internal domain code. The setup program can provide backward compatibility to prior-v3.0.1.6/2.4.x.x/2.3.x.x-setup program on Window 2000/XP. The PCU can now fully support Windows Zero Configuration on Windows XP. Wavelink OIDs are supported. The resume/standby issue has been fixed. Auto Select Profiles ¨C Users can now rank their profiles and have the client utility automatically choose which profile to use based on what AP is found. WPA / 802.1x supports the following authentication types: EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, PEAP(EAP-GTC), PEAP(EAP-MSCHAPv2), LEAP. Using Windows Logon for Authentication (Single-Sign On) ¨C An example of this is when the user selects to use PEAP Authentication, there will now be an option to Ħ°Use Windows User Name and PasswordĦħ. If the user chooses this option, then he does not need to enter a user name and password and the client utility will use the Windows user name and password for PEAP Authentication. Security supports Mixed Cells ¨C There is a checkbox for this option in the Security Configuration Page. The user would need to enable this feature if he/she is on a network that utilizes multiple securities on the same SSID. This is applicable for the following securities: Static WEP and 802.1x.
